The Irony of it all

Does it strike anyone else as weird that I spent 6 months in Southeast Asia without getting any tropical diseases, sicknesses and/or travellers diarrhea, but, as soon as I get back to proper showers, safe tap water and a less noodlelike existance I am blessed with what feels like all of the above?

  • Does the loss of the camera mean no pictures from your last month's adventures? If not, i'd like to see them. Linky linky.

Got a job yet? Mine's struggling. Still nobody's gone on the damn trip yet. I sense lay-offs rather shortly. There's really no need for an operations manager if there's no operations to manage. Can I come work in Norge?

  • The loss of camera means a severe lack of photos, yes, but I've taken a few on oldschool film that I'll scan when I get back to Norvege (ie day after tomorrow). Link will ensue shortly.

My blatant lack of marketable skills resulted in nonexistent job offers so it's back to knocking over palm trees and spilling wine at the restaurant for me. Whoopee. I have my first shift coming up on Saturday.

Rough about the Toban Experience, it sounded like a, ahem, "brilliant" business idea (cough). Hope it works out though - sounds like a relaxing job if nothing else... But, if they do file for Chapter 11 (is that the one?) do enjoy the perks of getting overpaid and overcharged in The Kingdom of Norway.
